Privacy Statement

Privacy Statement

sveltemail gives you a temporary email address that destroys itself. This statement explains what that means for your data: what we hold, for how long, and who can see it. Short version: mailbox contents live only until you read them or the timer runs out, and then they are destroyed forever.

Who we are

sveltemail.com is operated by Happiness Enterprises LLC (happystl.com).

What the service does

You mint a random, unguessable address on one of our pool domains with a lifetime of 5 to 30 minutes. Mail sent to it waits on our server until your browser pulls it down — at which point the server copy is deleted — or until the inbox expires, at which point everything attached to it is purged. Either way, it is destroyed forever: we keep no backups, no archives, and no logs of mailbox contents.

What we collect

Mailbox contents: nothing kept. Message senders, subjects, and bodies exist on our server only between arrival and your retrieval or expiry. Retrieving a message deletes it server-side immediately.

Aggregate counts only. To run the service we keep bare counters: how many people visited, how many inboxes were created, how many received mail, and how many messages were processed, per day. These contain no addresses, no usernames, no senders, no subjects, and no message text — nothing that can be traced back to an inbox. They survive the inbox purge by design, because there is nothing in them to destroy.

No accounts. Visitors never log in, so there are no profiles, passwords, or contact details to hold. The only logins on this site belong to our own employees administering it.

Server logs. Like any website, our host records routine web-server logs (addresses, times, pages fetched) to keep the service running. Mailbox contents never appear in them.

What lives in your browser

Once your browser pulls messages down, it keeps its own copies in local browser storage so you can re-read them even after the server copy is gone. Those copies are yours: they stay until you delete them, and we cannot see, retrieve, or delete them for you.

Who can see your mail

Nobody on our side. Administrators have no list of inboxes and no way to open one: an inbox is addressed only by an unguessable token that never leaves your browser, and the server deletes each message the moment your browser collects it.

Mail reaches us through our mail-handling providers over encrypted connections and is held only as described above.

Advertising

The site carries ad slots to pay for itself. Ad providers may set their own cookies and collect their own data under their own policies, which this statement does not cover.

Changes

If this statement changes, the new version appears here with a new date above. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
